New year, new resolutions. And let's be honest: more control over expenses is at the top of the list for many businesses. That's why we're launching Spend Limits. Set a spending limit and prevent unexpected costs.
What is Spend Limits?
With Spend Limits you disable overage (extra usage) for your team. Normally you pay extra when you exceed your monthly included volume. With Spend Limits you can completely disable this or set a maximum amount.
When you reach the limit, Lettermint automatically stops sending emails. This gives you full control over your budget and you'll never face surprises.
You can choose from three options:

| Disable overages | Emails above your plan limit are rejected. Never extra costs. | You never want to pay extra |
| Custom limit | Set a maximum overage budget (e.g., €50). Emails are rejected once the limit is reached. | You want to set a maximum |
With a custom limit, the system automatically calculates how many extra emails your budget allows based on your plan's overage rate. Example: a limit of €15 at €1.50 per 1,000 emails allows approximately 10,000 extra emails.
You'll automatically receive an email when your monthly included volume is almost used up. Set a custom limit? You'll also get a notification when that budget is almost reached. So you're never caught off guard.
Setting up Spend Limits
You'll find Spend Limits in your team settings. Go to the Billing tab and choose your preferred option under Spend Limit. Changes take effect immediately.
Spend Limits is available on all paid plans. Our free plan has no overage costs, so a limit isn't needed there.
